What Paper to Choose?

PhotoInPrint offers users many more paper choices than regular printing services. Professional photographers usually know what paper to choose, but what about people who don’t have experience with different papers?

This is a very common question, and we will try to answer it here.

All the papers we use for printing are high quality. Each one not only reproduces the image but also gives you a unique feeling when you hold it in your hands.

We usually recommend starting with Hahnemühle Photo Rag Baryta. This is a very high-quality natural photo paper. It’s heavy at 315gsm, high-gloss, and feels special when you hold it. This paper is bright enough to represent most everyday photography subjects, and if you are unsure what to choose, we highly recommend starting with this paper.

If you need matte paper, the Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth paper is a good choice to start with.

The good everyday choice is Hahnemühle Photo Silk Baryta X 310. This smooth, creamy white paper with its silky gloss finish produces a very good print quality, ensuring the best results for daily printing.

PhotoInPrint allows you to print on high-quality papers in relatively small formats, like 4x6” (most photo studios only allow these papers starting from 12x12” sizes). This means that with PhotoInPrint, you can try various high-quality papers at very affordable prices.

We recommend you to take advantage of this opportunity, try different papers, and choose the ones you like the best.

We hope you find this advice useful and enjoy working with us!
